Analytics Pro version 1.4 adds support for the latest Google Analytics API - version 3.0.
1) When Analytics Pro is first installed on a device, it will use the version 3.0 API automatically.
2) If you are updating Analytics Pro from a previous version and are already using OAuth, Analytics Pro will start using the version 3.0 API automatically.
3) If you are using the older version 2.4 Analytics API, you will see a message prompting you to change to API version 3. Follow the steps "Changing to API version 3" below.
If you do not update, Analytics Pro will continue to use the older API version 2.4.
You can also manually select which version of the API is used by Analytics Pro. This allows you to choose which Version of the API is used. See the steps "Manually Changing API Settings" below for more details.
If you are updating Analytics Pro from an earlier version, it is likely that you were using Google's ClientLogin method to authenticate your account with Google. In which case, you will see a red alert at the bottom of the screen prompting you to update to the new Version 3 API.
Follow the 6 steps outlined below to start using the new OAuth method for authentication.
You can select which version of the API is used from the "Feed Settings" Menu.
